£4.2 million Ibori loot returned to Delta state – Accountant General

Nigeria’s Accountant-General, Ahmed Idris has unveiled that the £4.2 million Ibori plunder localized from the United Kingdom has been gotten back to the delta state government.

Previous Delta Governor, James Ibori supposedly plundered the assets during his time in office.

Idris uncovered this on Tuesday while tending to the Abuja House of Representatives’ Ad hoc Committee on Assessment and Status of All Recovered Loots Movable and Immovable Assets from 2002 to 2020 by Agencies of the Federal Government of Nigeria for Effective Efficient Management and Utilization.

He expressed that this was in accordance with set down strategy as assets plundered from a state are normally gotten back to the state. He called attention to that states could indict the Federal government if such assets are not returned.

Tinubu and Chief Akande were joined by some different individuals from the gathering on the visit.
